Astro Weather for August 11th: Mercury in Virgo = invent and share smart, simple solutions.

Mercury has completed its loud and enthusiastic transit in Leo and comfortably settled into Virgo, one of its home signs, and its position of exaltation.

Over the next few weeks, our thinking and communication will receive a positive boost of clarity, thanks to this energy.

Because Virgo loves to improve through creating organized systems, it’s an excellent time to clear away any mental clutter and figure out ways you can work smarter instead of harder.

This mindset reminds me of the author Denise Duffield-Thomas, who writes about creating a ‘keyless life’ in her business book ‘Chillpreneur’. Denise’s Mercury is in Virgo in the 11th house and she loves to share tips to make day-to-day tasks as easy as possible for her readers, to help them avoid procrastination and burnout.

This could be as simple as creating a weekly meal plan if you waste time trying to figure out what to make for dinner (me too!), or placing your running shoes next to your bed if you’re always putting off working out.

If you’ve already figured this stuff out, now’s the time for you problem-solvers to share your tips with others (since the procrastinators will likely be more receptive during this time :).

With this energy, I'm also reminded of the 9 of Pentacles, one of my favourite tarot cards, (especially in the beautiful Ethereal Visions deck shown below).

The 9 of Pentacles depicts a naturally exquisite woman admiring her bountiful garden and soaking up the sun’s warm rays. She’s the epitome of peace and security, and whenever she pops up in a client reading, I just know that individual is on the path to prosperity.

She's the female entrepreneur who excels because of her diligence and grace and she’s reminiscent of the harvest Goddess who’s associated with resourceful and perfectionist Virgo.

And so with Mercury in Virgo, we’re turning our attention to our own metaphorical garden; either appreciating how we’ve grown or feeling optimistic about the seeds we’ve recently planted.
