PSA: please don’t trust ChatGPT with your birth chart. Here’s why your astrological blueprint needs a human touch, not an AI reconstruction.

While AI-generated astrology readings can seem surprisingly convincing at first glance, what many people don’t realize is that these readings are often not based on their actual natal chart, which can seriously distort how they understand their blueprint.

I’m experiencing this more and more lately. A client comes into a reading already having had their chart “read” by ChatGPT, and when I pull up the actual chart, it's always completely wrong except for their sun sign.

The first time this happened, I had to pause because I was SO confused by how off it was. Not like "different interpretation" off, more like "umm, this is not the same chart at all" off. Planets strangely in the wrong signs and houses, except for the sun sign—which makes sense, because it’s the most basic and widely known part of astrology. But everything else depends on exact birth data and proper calculation, and if that step isn’t done correctly, the whole thing falls apart.

And then there’s the second part of this, which is less about the chart's foundational structure, but just as important. A real astrology reading is not just about repeating what a placement means. Astrology is a lifelong study, and over time, professional astrologers build a grounded sense of how things actually show up in real life. We study patterns over several years, and see the similar themes related to certain placements or transits, and also remember clients who had the same transit but lived it in different ways. It becomes less about textbook definitions and more about lived experience. That’s where intuition comes in, but it’s not random intuition. It’s pattern recognition built from hundreds of real readings and follow-ups. It’s noticing how timing actually plays out, not just how it’s described.

And of course, as an intuitive astrologer, I also recognize the more mystical layer of it. The quiet impressions that come in when I sit with someone’s chart. The whispers, the flashes of insight, the images or feelings that form before I even fully articulate them. And I absolutely love that moment when a client confirms what I’m seeing or sensing. There’s something really amazing about that overlap between what is felt and what becomes true in their lived experience. That intangible magic is a huge part of the work for me.

AI doesn’t have any of that. It doesn’t track outcomes, it doesn’t sit with what actually happened after a reading, and it doesn’t develop attunement over time. It just pulls from written descriptions of astrology and stitches them together. When you combine that with the fact that the chart itself is often not even correct, what you end up with is something that feels confident and polished, but isn’t actually grounded in reality.

So if you’ve been using ChatGPT to guide you, for the love of astrology, please pause and come back to a trusted astrologer. We can actually show you your true chart, walk you through it properly, and give you a reading that’s based on something consistent, accurate, and real.
