As someone with Saturn and Jupiter tightly conjunct in my natal chart (the last time these heavy hitters met in an air sign—Libra), I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on this complex planetary relationship. And ultimately, it’s all about balance.
If you have some knowledge of astrology, then you know that Jupiter is a whole lot of extra and optimism, while Saturn is a cautious and calculated architect. Not exactly birds of a feather. But maybe, that’s exactly what makes them the perfect partnership.
It’s often said that when choosing a business partner, it’s wisest to work with someone who’s your opposite, to compensate for what you lack. That same theory can be applied to the great conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter (they'll be kissing each other on December 21st), and let’s face it, we presently live in a very divided world, and could certainly use some balance and cooperation to help realign the collective. That’s where the community oriented sign of Aquarius comes in. It’s time to reimagine and rebuild the way we relate to our fellow humans.
Expect 2021 to be very much about progress—an Aquarian speciality. But not without some necessary pressure. It’s likely that this monumental astrological event will have a push and pull effect on the collective, forcing us to stretch and work together in new and innovative ways...and most definitely ushering us into a whole new world.
